Peggy Kaye has been involved in early education
for more than twenty-five years. Author of the highly praised
Games for Reading (1984),
Games for Math (1988),
and Games for Learning (1991) --
which received the Parents' Choice Award in 1991 --
Games for Writing (1995),
and Games with Books (2002),
Kaye has also written a set of workbooks called Enrichment: Math
and Enrichment: Reading, used throughout the country. In
addition, she is the author of two volumes, both called Afterwards,
in which she retells folk tales from around the world and then presents
mathematical problems for first through fourth graders to solve based on
those stories. She has written dozens of articles on education in
magazines such as Creative Classroom, Parenting, Sesame
Street Parents, Slate, and The New York Times Book Review.
She has appeared on numerous talk shows, including the "Today" show,
to discuss her books.
